The Suzhou Black Tie Boxing Academy, founded in 2015 by the Croatian boxing champion and philanthropist Goran Martinovic, is a comprehensive institution that integrates culture, sports, and tourism. The academy, along with the World Tie Museum and the Cultural Tourism Windows in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, forms the Black Tie Group.
The academy's flagship event, "Suzhou Showdown," has been successfully held for 12 consecutive years, even during the pandemic, demonstrating the institution's resilience and commitment. In 2024, marking nearly a decade of growth, the Suzhou Black Tie Boxing Academy relocated to a new site at Building 13, Phase III of the Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block in the Suzhou Industrial Park.
